Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – Sandbanks Hotel Poole – Stacey & Adam’s Wedding

Stacey and Adam’s Wedding at the Sandbanks Hotel, Poole, Dorset

Our first wedding at the Sandbanks Hotel this year. A very popular wedding venue with couples wanting to get married by the sea. The Compass suite has fantastic views over Poole Bay, an ideal backdrop for the ceremony.

Stacey and Adam were quite nervous in the lead up to the ceremony but with their promises made, rings exchanged and registers signed they started to enjoy the day with a celebratory drink with their guests on the terrace. The day was quite bright although a little breezy but everyone joined the couple on the terrace for the formal group photos.

We ventured down onto the beach with the newly married couple for some time by the water’s edge before their guests joined them for a photo of everyone.

As the guests made their way back to the hotel and the warmth of the hotel lounge, Stacey and Adam had a quick peek at the wedding breakfast room which looked fantastic decorated in pink. The warmth of the fire made it feel quite cosy whilst the views across to Old Harry Rocks would be enjoyed by the guests during the wedding breakfast.

Bournemouth Wedding Photographer – Poole Methodist Church, Parkstone, Dorset – Anna and Murray’s Wedding

Anna and Murray’s Wedding at Poole Methodist Church and Sandbanks Beach, Dorset

Anna and Murray had travelled from New Zealand to enjoy a traditional Christmas with Anna’s family and to share their wedding day with UK friends and family, before returning to New Zealand for another ceremony for family and friends there.

The ceremony was very personal with readings by family members, dancing performed by friends and the organ played by the Bride’s Father. Tea and cake was served afterwards as not all of the church guests could make it to the reception.

The weather forecast earlier in the week looked to be quite good especially as Anna wanted to stop off at the beach for photos on the way to the reception.  As the wedding day got closer the forecast changed and it looked as though it was going to be very windy with rain all day. As we left the church the weather seemed a bit brighter although the light was disappearing fast. Anna was  not deterred (we’ve known Brides change their mind in much better weather conditions!) and so we headed down to Sandbanks beach.

Although it was windy and not the climate that Murray was used to we managed to get a few shots on the beach before retreating for some shelter.

We bid our farewells just as it started to rain and Anna and Murray made their way onto their reception in Studland.

Katie & Sam’s Wedding 4th April 2014

Katie and Sam’s Wedding at the Carlton Hotel, Bournemouth

Katie and Sam were both nervous before the ceremony but it really didn’t show. They made their promises and exchanged rings in the company of relatives and friends and of course sealed it with several kisses! With the registers signed and the marriage certificate presented the guests followed the newly married couple out into the hotel garden for the drinks reception and our signature heart shaped photograph.

We slipped away to the beach with Katie and Sam. The weather was getting better as the day went on and as Katie and Sam stepped on to the sand the sun appeared from behind the clouds shining right down on them, a great start to their married life.

Back at the hotel the guests were enjoying drinks on the terrace in the glorious afternoon sunshine waiting for Katie and Sam to return for the wedding breakfast.

We wish Katie and Sam all the very best for their future together. We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images.

Kerry & Andy 6th August 2013

Renewal of Vows Ceremony Photography at the Sandbanks Hotel Poole

Kerry and Andy celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows on the terrace of the Sandbanks hotel with their friends and family who were so friendly and full of fun.

The day before the ceremony was overcast with heavy rain such a contrast to the day itself when we had wall to wall sunshine. So the hotel terrace was the ideal location for today’s ceremony. Diana from Grace the Day took the personalised ceremony and although there had been lots of cheers and laughter it also brought tears to quite a few eyes.

After the ceremony it was drinks on the terrace during which a few family and friends photos were taken and then we slipped away on to the beach for a few photos with Kerry and Andy.

In the reception room which was decorated beautifully was a reminder of their wedding day, the original wedding album for all to enjoy. Such memories captured in time for all to enjoy and reminisce over as the years go by. The cake looked amazing, made by a friend’s Mum decorated beautifully with shells as the theme.

We wish Kerry and Andy many more years happiness together and we were glad to be part of their day. We had such a great time with them and their guests.

We would like to thank Sebastien and the staff at the Sandbanks Hotel for their help and assistance throughout the day, it’s always such a pleasure to work there. A great venue for weddings and ceremonies which we can highly recommend, we look forward to seeing them again soon.

We are busy preparing Kerry and Andy’s images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images.

Helen & Audey’s Wedding 10th April 2012

Audey was at the venue, The Branksome Beach, when we arrived making sure that everything was as he and Helen had planned. A small canopy had been erected on the terrace as the weather was looking a little unsettled, the weather had improved a lot compared to the previous day when it was really windy and wet but not enough to be confident that the April showers wouldn’t interrupt the ceremony.

Helen arrived early, she was that early that she was there before the registrars and guests so she had to hide away for a while! The guests arrived and just as the ceremony was about to commence it started to rain so we waited a few moments for it to pass. As the rain eased the guests took their seats and Helen made her entrance with a big smile even though she was sheltering under an umbrella.

With the vows made and rings exchanged the newly married couple had a few family photos and a celebratory drink with the guests.

With the weather looking unsettled and a little breezy we popped over to the gardens opposite the restaurant with the couple where it was a little sheltered for some photos of just the two of them. Helen had really wanted photos on the beach so she braved it for a while, the wind was quite cold and we returned to the restaurant and finished off there with a few photos of the table layout and an amazing and unusual wedding cake designed by Sweet Serenity to look like a beach hut.

We wish Helen and Audey all the happiness for their future together. We hope you enjoy this selection of wedding photographs from their day. All of the images from the day will be available to view online as soon as we have seen Helen and Audey.
