Emily and Mark’s Wedding at the Willows, Bournemouth Town Hall and Hotel Du Vin Poole
On the eve of Emily and Mark’s wedding another storm had hit the South. We were hoping along with everyone else that it wouldn’t affect their wedding day. In the morning the wind had subsided and the sun was starting to make an appearance.
Emily and Mark were married in the Willows, a rather elegantly decorated room with some beautiful crystal chandeliers at Bournemouth Town Hall amongst family and friends.
After the ceremony the newly married couple were greeted by their guests outside on the steps where they had a few photos and the traditional confetti throw before everyone made their way over to the Hotel Du Vin for the afternoon celebrations.
The Hotel Du Vin, a Georgian Mansion off the Old Quay in Poole is a great location for weddings both in the summer and winter. In the summer the Virginia creeper clads the mansion with green leaves which turn to the deepest of reds in the autumn and then in the winter when the leaves have been shed leave an amazing filigree of tendrils making a great backdrop for some photos.
Inside the hotel a large window on a landing spills some lovely natural light which lends itself beautifully to some wedding photography along with some rather unusual murals that decorate the walls.
After the traditional cake cutting shot and a few formal photos on the staircase we left Emily and Mark with their guests for the wedding breakfast.
We wish Emily and Mark all the very best for their future together. We are busy preparing their images from the day so while we are doing this we hope you enjoy these few images.
